As the 21st century looms ahead, it is clear to see the growth of computer science industry. Originally conceived as an organizational solution to the massive amounts of information kept on nothing more than paper, computers have evolved and advanced to become a common part of modern day life and to various technological developments.
The Special interest group’s(SIG’s) at Amrita school of engineering works with this motto. The SIG’s at Amrita provide a platform to help young budding computer aspirants to make it into the big world of computer science technology.
This is achieved by conducting various informative workshops, discussions, interactive sessions, various competitions, skill training sessions, tutorials and practical experience to revive the geek in you.
ACM Special Interest Groups also called as ACM SIG’s is
a community that work to develop and research on various
fields in computer science technology like web
development, data sciences, coding, artificial
intelligence, graphics and few more exciting fields for
growth of computer science technologic carries most of
its works through Self Interest Groups in the field of
computer science.

ACM and ACM-W Student chapters in collaboration with Code chef bring to you the opportunity to be a part of the Competitive Coding Student Interest Group (ACM Competitive Coding) for the year 2019-2020. The Competitive Coding SIG at Amrita School of Engineering was created as a platform to help programmers make it big in the world of algorithms, computer programming, and programming contests. In this SIG we revive the geek in you by hosting various programming contests.
Learn more about ACM Competitive Coding SIGWe at ACM Amrita Student Chapter bring forth the ACM Data Science SIG which focuses on learning specific efficient learning algorithms and implementing them in real life with the help of sample data. This learning will encourage you to build artificial Agents which will make your work easier. We here learn the math and code that goes into algorithms.
Learn more about ACM Data Science SIGThe ACM chapter at Amrita invites all the creative and tech-savvy minds to test their skills in developing projects. Those who have no idea about web development can still join and they will be taught from scratch. Active participation is the key to SIG. We had conducted a boot camp on web development by two web development enthusiasts Aravind V Nair and Abhishek Sai. It was a full-stack web development workshop focusing on HTML5, CSS3, Bootcamp, Node.js, Express.js, GitHub, Database, CLI, JS, and Firebase. At last but not least our motto always here is to learn, unlearn and relearn.
